Iran sends second rocket into space
Iran has successfully launched a second domestically-built rocket into space in line with its efforts to advance its space program.
The Kavoshgar 2 (Explorer 2) rocket was launched on Wednesday.
Having performed its functions, it parachuted back to earth some 40 minutes later, according to Iranian state television.
The rocket consisted of a carrier, space-lab and restoration system.
Kavoshgar 1 had been blasted into space earlier in February, making Iran the 11th country to have acquired space-related technology. Link
