Zionist Puppet Maliki Escalates Tension with Syria

Iraq has begun stationing thousands of extra police on the border with Syria, saying they will prevent foreign fighters from entering the country to carry out attacks.

Nouri al-Maliki, the Iraqi prime minister, has accused Syria of providing a haven for fighters and tensions between the two neighbours have risen in recent weeks.

Major-General Tariq Yusuf, the police chief of western Iraq's Anbar province which borders Syria, said on Friday: "These are the emergency forces for the borders ... to fill in the gaps."
