Hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers attack Palestinian homes in al-Khalil

Hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers, Monday night, attacked Palestinian homes in the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil causing the injury of at 35 Palestinian residents, mostly children according to local sources, and three journalists.

The Palestinian homes attacked are situated in the Ja'bari and Wadi al-Nasara neighbourhoods in the old quarters of al-Khalil.

One of the local residents told PIC reporter over the phone that the few Palestinian families who still live in the old quarters of al-Khalil have, for decades, been harassed by the extremist settlers from near by Keryat Arba' to force them to leave, but he said that those Palestinian families are determined to stay in their homes even if it costs them their lives.

The harassment those Palestinians live is a daily occurrence, but the escalation of attacks by settlers lately was sparked by an Israeli court decision to evict settlers from a building in the old quarters of al-Khalil which the settlers claim to have bought.

Similar to the settlers' attacks on Palestinian residents of the city of Akka, many settlers came from outside al-Khalil to help and encourage local settlers to attack the Palestinian residents of the city of al-Khalil. Link
