Bliar bodyguard opens fire at airport

One of Blair's bodyguards triggered a security scare at an Israeli airport by firing his gun.
One of former British premier Tony Blair's bodyguards has caused panic at an Israeli airport after accidentally firing his handgun.

The incident occurred as Blair was about to board a plane at Ben Gurion international airport near Tel Aviv with his British bodyguard.

No one was injured in the accident.

"There was an incident this morning at Ben Gurion airport when one of Blair's bodyguards' guns accidentally went off," Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said.

He added that airport authorities were investigating the incident.

The incident is the second weapon gaffe by Blair's security team.

Another one of Blair's bodyguards was removed from 'operational duties' after leaving her Glock 17 semi-automatic pistol in a Starbucks lavatory in September. PressTV
