US missile kills four in Pakistan

US strikes have sparked national outrage in Pakistan
A suspected US missile strike has killed four foreign militants in northwest of Pakistan, according to Pakistani intelligence officials.

The officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said on Tuesday that the dead militants were identified as Abu Qasim, Abu Musa, Abu Hamza and Abu Haris.

Lt. Nathan Perry from the US military coalition in Afghanistan said that he had no information that he could release on the matter. But he did not deny coalition involvement.

Earlier on Monday, another US missile strike killed 20 people - most of them women and children - and wounded 25 others in a village in the North Waziristan region.

There has been an increase in missile strikes on what the US claims are militants in Pakistan's tribal areas.

US strikes on Pakistani territory have killed scores of civilians this year and have sparked national outrage.

In another incident, Pakistani security forces killed at least seven militants and injured five others in a clash at Tang Khacha village on Tuesday. PressTV
