Iran tries man for spying for Israel
|
Iran announced on Saturday that Tehran's Revolutionary Court had put an Iranian, accused of being paid by the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, to spy for Israel, on trial.
Spying equipments alleged to have been provided by the Israeli spy agencies were displayed in court, ISNA news agency reported.
The judge in charge of the case said the verdict would be announced in a week's time.
Israel and its number one ally, the United States, have launched a psywar campaign in Iran in an attempt to provoke fear and create chaos in the country and destabilize the Islamic Republic.
Iran, however, has so far foiled many plots hatched by such spy networks.
