Israeli tank fire kills 6 Palestinian civilians including 4 children.
Eight Palestinian civilians including four children have been killed and 25 others injured in the latest Israeli raid on the Gaza Strip.

Israeli tank fire killed a 10-year-old boy Friday after 10 Israelis tanks along with two armored bulldozers, backed by two assault helicopters entered the coastal region earlier on the day.

Ten-year-old Riyad Owayssi stood with dozens more children near the tanks when he was hit, according to AFP.

Owayssi who was wounded in the refugee camp of al-Bureji in central Gaza later died at hospital, Press TV correspondent in Gaza Ashraf Shannon reported.

Four other Palestinians were killed in the Israeli incursion. Three of the victims were children whose ages range between 12 and 17, he added.

A sixth Palestinian was killed in a later air strike on Bureij, medics and security sources said.

A further 25 Palestinians were wounded, including three children who suffered severe wounds, medics addded.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military offensive met fierce resistance from Gaza fighters.

Since Israeli and the Palestinian officials met in the US-sponsored Annapolis gathering to revive the so-called peace talks in November, at least 385 Palestinians have been killed. PressTV
