The UN General Secretary, Ban Ki-moon expressed on Thursday his concerns regarding "recent escalation of violence in southern Israel and Gaza Strip", Ban Ki-moon's concern also included the loss of civilian life, resulting from rocket fire by Hamas and missile air strike attacks by the Israelis on the Gaza Strip..He said in a statement “these events underscore the urgent need for a calming of violence, and must not be allowed to deter the continuation of the political process”. Ki-Moon is of course at first condemning,what he say "rocket fire against Israel by Hamas",which intensified on Wednesday,killing one Israeli in the settlement of Sderot, he called on to Hamas and other "militant groups" to “- cease such acts of "terrorism."

In a futile comment, containing what should be easily understood distinctions between right and wrong in this conflict, the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-Moon continued his speech,also condemned the killing of four Palestinian children, including an infant, who died in one of the Israelis missile attacks on Gaza Strip. Ki-Moon concluded, that the Israelis have to“exercise maximum restraint and ensure respect for International Humanitarian Laws, so as not to endanger the lives of civilians."

The outside world can see that the Israelis are conducting massacre, genocidal crimes on Gaza Strip against International Laws and Human Right Laws and Treaties.Why are the members of the United Nations Security Council not called to extra emergency meetings.The Israelis have re- invaded the Gaza Strip,Palestinian territories, with a massive number of ground troops in tanks and panzer's.From air the Israelis are launching missiles and rockets,Israelis in helicopters are aiming heavy machine guns targeting the unprotected residents and their homes.The Israelis high tech weaponry does not distinct between, the courageous members of the Palestinian resistance,members of the Gaza Strip Police-Force,other official public servants, civilians, children, public school or university buildings, handicap centers or medical clinics, ambulances,private homes or religious sites.

In the compound of a school operated by the UNRWA Refuge and Aid Agency, the Palestinian infant,a six-month-old baby was killed by an Israeli missile strike. In the massive bombings on Gaza Strip the Israelis have killed 56 Palestinians including 14 children. Over 100 Gaza Strip residents have been wounded in these attacks, many have lost their limbs and other are wounded with serious injuries on other body parts. On this Saturday 21 Gaza Strip residents are killed, including 6 children.

Israeli F16 launched four missile totally detroying the old Mosque, called Bader Mosque and the Rafah Police Department, located in the eastern parts of Rafah City. The attack that came one hour before midnight killed 6 Gaza Strip residents - some were respected and honorable members of Al Qassam Brigades.

Members of the Israeli Parliament and the military has exposed a personal intense malignant and primitive hatred, against the Palestinians. A few days ago, the deputy defense minister MatanVilnai threatened the Palestinians on Gaza Strip with a "holocaust."These comments came a day after the Israeli Occupation forces ( IOF ) killed 31 Palestinians, including 9 children,and the six-month-old baby Mohammad Boley, Gaza City, in a series of air raids across Gaza Strip Talking to the Israelis army radio on Friday,Vilnai said,"the more intense fire of Qassam rockets, the Palestinians will bring upon themselves ,a shoah ( holocaust),we will use all our military might to defend ourselves."

Incitement to conduct genocide, constitute a crime under International Laws and the formal agreements of the International Genocide Convention, which was adopted in 1948, after the WW2 .The Israelis are intentionally misleading the world community, including member states of the United Nations, in making believe that they, the poor Israelis are the victimized,forced to defend them selves and the land which was wrongfully given to them 1948.

It is both ignorant and spiteful to call members of the Palestinian resistance, terrorists.The Israelis know very well and the world community should understand by now,that in the core spine of the Palestinian society, by a natural instinct, in every Palestinian family the resistance is present in every second alive, can not be quelled and will not die out,before the Palestine people have full justice and Palestine lands are free from the Zionists occupation.

While Israeli top leaders escalate the violence and threats against the Palestinians, some other Israeli officials are supporting the idea of direct talks with Hamas, to achieve a mutual ceasefire, which Hamas repeatedly has offered for many months. Yossi Beilin, a member of Knesset and leader of left-Zionist Meretz Yahad party, has called for a ceasefire with Hamas, he has said ( in Hareetz) that, "Hamas has made a request at least two times to the Israelis to accept cease-fire.

A recent Israeli poll reveal that some 62 percent of the Israelis say, that the Israeli government must hold direct talks about ceasefire with the Hamas government in Gaza Strip."Avi Dichter, the minister of Israeli"Security Ministry"visiting Sderot last week,criticized the Israeli escalation of attacks on Gaza Strip, he stated. "In my opinion, those whom are talking about entering and re- occupying the Gaza Strip, are representing the populist's.I do not agree to these harmful ideas of subversive acts, no other intelligent and serious persons doe's it either."

The senior envoy Robert H. Serry, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process stated in the Security Council on Tuesday, one day before the Israelis massive attacks on Gaza Strip erupted again, Robert H Serry said - "The Annapolis peace process deserves continued support, but it will only be sustained if there are real changes on the ground, particularly in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip.Ordinary people understandably have little confidence in that the political process is delivering anything, whether they live in the occupied Palestinian territory or in the southern Israel.

Serry continued, “In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the imposing presence of the barrier, the expanding settlements, the checkpoints, the system of closure and constant military incursions, have grave implications for the human rights, the economy and the social fabric of the entire population. - In Gaza Strip, the deprivations of basic human dignity are even more acute, and the sense of abandonment and frustration is palpable.

Robert H Serry urged all parties to abide by international law and to cooperate closely with the members of the international diplomatic Quartet - the UN, the European Union, Russia and the United States - as well as regional countries and members of the Security Council to implement the Road Map.The goal must be an end to the occupation that began in 1967 and the coexistence in peace and security of the State of Israel and the State of Palestine, a comprehensive regional peace, in fulfilment of resolutions 242, 338, 1397 and 1515, and the Arab Peace Initiative.”

In an address to the Council meeting earlier this week, the Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs, John Holmes, said that his recent visit to the region showed him that the conditions for the residents of Gaza Strip, which has recently faced tight Israeli restrictions along its borders, were “grim and miserable" and far from normal. Eight months of severe restrictions on the movement of goods and people entering and leaving the territory, following the Hamas takeover in June 2007, have taken a heavy economic and social toll, coming on top of years of difficulty and economic decline,” - he described the situation on Gaza Strip increasingly severe and visible.”

John Holmes added that the closures have brought most of the industry and agriculture in Gaza Strip to collapse, the closures have raised unemployment and poverty to new heights and led to the deterioration of the Gaza Strip basic infrastructure.Holmes also payed a visit to the southern settlement of Sderot,the main target of Qassam rocket barrages from Gaza Strip, Holmes said he had witnessed “the physical and psychological damage to the population from this constant barrage.of rockets”.

All though John Holmes urged Hamas to act immediately to stop the rocket barrel attacks, saying continued firing was unjustified, clearly constituted terrorism and must be halted unconditionally. Holmes concluded, - “ However, I also made clear publicly and privately my view that, whatever the provocation and illegality of the rockets, the Israeli isolation of Gaza Strip is not justified, given the Israelis continuing obligations to the people of Gaza Strip, it amounts to collective punishment and is contrary to international humanitarian law.”
