US pushes Arabs for Iran sanctions

Stuart Levey
The US Treasury's top sanctions official is traveling to major Middle East financial centers to push them for more sanctions against Iran.

Stuart Levey, undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, will visit the financial centers in Qatar, Bahrain, and the UAE this week to call for their support in imposing new sanctions against Iran, Reuters reported on Monday.

The US moves to put more pressure on Iran comes as a recent report by the IAEA chief, confirms that Iran gave satisfactory responses to all the questions posed by the agency.

Mohamed ElBaradei on Friday declared that due to Tehran's 'openness' the watchdog has made 'quite good progress' in its investigation of the country's nuclear program. Press TV
