Israeli warplanes breach Lebanese airspace

MIL-LEBANON-ISRAEL-WARPLANES

BEIRUT, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Four Israeli warplanes on Thursday violated the Lebanese airspace and hovered over diverse Lebanese areas, the Lebanese army said in a release.

The Army Guidance - Guidance Department said the four warplanes had breached the Lebanese airspace over Der Maimas area in south Lebanon.

They carried out a circle flying over Lebanese areas before leaving the airspace, it said.

Israeli planes occasionally violate the Lebanese airspace in breach of the relevant UN Security Council Resolution 1701 adopted following Israel-Lebanon war in July 2006. (end) ayb. Link
