Political parties supported by US not welcomed by Iranians

Those political parties being supported by the US government would have no place among the Iranian nation, government spokesman, Gholam-Hossein Elham said on Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters at his weekly press conference, he made the remark while commenting on recent support of the US President George Bush for some Iranian political parties.

"The US support for any domestic group or party would bring them nothing but disgrace and scandal," Elham said.

He added that public opinion in Iran would not welcome those who are supported by the US. Link
