Israeli military vehicles enter Lebanon

In defiance of the United Nations Security Council's Resolution 1701, three Israeli armored vehicles have entered Lebanese territory.

Lebanese official said that three Israeli armored vehicle crossed the Blue Line, separating Lebanon from Palestine, and headed toward the al- Wazzani River south of Lebanon.

On Friday Personal Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Southern Lebanon, Geir O. Pedersen termed Israeli violations of Lebanese territory as 'unacceptable' and flagrant breach of Resolution 1701.

Resolution 1701, drafted during the last summer war between Israel and Lebanon, obliges all parties concerned to respect the international Blue Line.

The US has been blocking the attempts to counter Israeli violations of the resolution.

Israeli officials have threatened that they will target UN peacekeepers in Lebanon if they open fire on the Israeli warplanes that enter Lebanon's airspace. Link
