Haneyya government urges world intervention to imminent disaster
The Palestinian caretaker government has urged the world community to step in to halt the human disaster that is befalling the Gaza Strip due to the oppressive IOF siege.
The government in a statement after its weekly meeting on Tuesday warned that some Israeli parties were planning to launch a large-scale incursion into the Strip, which would bear dire consequences.
It affirmed that any such invasion was meant to be used to achieve political ends, but certainly would not be an excursion for the IOF troops.
The government said that the cruel siege had led to the death of a number of people, acute shortages in basic material especially medicine, and a stoppage to a number of international projects of vital, economic and humanitarian nature other than the harmful ramifications on the agricultural sector.
It called on the Arab and world media to shed light on the IOF crimes and repercussions of the harsh siege on the Palestinian people and the vital sectors in Palestine. More...
