Cracks appearing in Berlin's Holocaust memorial

Berlin's Holocaust memorial is showing signs of structural damage just two years after it opened. The managing director of the Foundation for the Memorial, to Jews murdered by the Nazis, said about one in 7 of the 2,700 gray concrete blocks comprising the monument showed cracks that had to be filled. The exact cause of the cracks is not known.

The monument was designed by New York-based architect Peter Eisenman and covers an area the size of two football pitches. The memorial, which is a major tourist draw, attracted 3.5 million people in its first year alone. Link
A rather interesting metaphor for the orthodox legend of the holocaust itself!
