Sickening President George W Bush has been taken ill on the final day of the G8 summit and is resting in his room. Dan Bartlett, a White House counsellor, said Mr Bush had a stomach ailment which he described as "not serious". Pity!

On Saturday, Bush will meet for the first time with Pope Benedict XVI. Large anti-Bush demonstrations are planned in Rome, and Premier Romano Prodi had to ask his Cabinet members to refrain from taking part.
